How to prepare:

Practice, practice, practice!!!

The month of June should be used to prepare physical for this event. The best possible way to prepare is to pack your pack and take 3-4 hikes per week leading up to the event.  You can start with short easy hikes and progress to longer and more difficult hikes. You should wear the boots or footwear that you plan on using for BAC on your training hikes.

Footwear that properly fits and are broke in and tested is an absolute must! DO NOT wear new hiking boots that have not been tested!

Another aspect of training is to pack and repack your personal gear and get the weight down to a maximum weight of 20# (This does not include food and water)

*Transportation is not provided to or from this event. If you need transportation please contact BAC Coordinator Brad Phillips
